Cairo(Egypt) -13 December 2006- The first African Union Conference of Ministers responsible for Hydrocarbons (Oil & Gas) jointly organized by the African Union Commission (AUC) and the Egyptian Government with the technical assistance of the African Development Bank (ADB),inaugurated its work, at the Ministerial Level ,on Thursday 14 December 2006.

EU, Turkey sign Nabucco gas pipeline deal in Ankara on July 12, 2009

During the signing of transit agreement for the Nabucco gas pipeline, with the presence of Transit countries Leader’s: Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary and Austria, Egyptian Oil Minister, Eng. Sameh Fahmy said that a planned Arab Gas Pipeline could be a potential source of gas for Nabucco.
