ABOUT US :
The Oil and Gas African Liaison Office is established according to the suggestion of his Excellency Eng. Sameh Fahmy, Egyptian minister of Petroleum, and the appreciation and acceptance of the first conference for African Ministers of Petroleum held in Cairo in December 2006.
Vision:
To act as the major catalyst for strengthen the African countries oil and gas activities ties and linkages.
Mission:

To promote co-operation among African Countries in hydrocarbon exploration, Production, refining, petrochemicals, manpower development, acquisition and Adaptation of technology.

To promote exchange of support, scientific and financial resources required for the promotion and development of the hydrocarbon sectors in African countries.

To actively contribute to the efforts of African countries to drive maximum Economic benefits from the exploration of their hydrocarbons while taking into consideration up-to-date environmental protection and safety standards.

To assist in the implementation of the action plan issued in the first African petroleum Ministers’ summit.

To maintain a strategy for innovation and growth.
Objectives:

Strengthen the cooperation between African countries in different oil and gas industry activities and related issues.

Enhance the development of human resources and man power in the oil and gas industry.

Exchange the technical and research consultations between African countries in the petroleum sector.

Encourage investment in the Oil and gas exploration, field development and production, and other oil and gas in the African countries.

Maximize the economic benefits through the rational use of oil & gas resources and the effective participation between the African countries.

Assist in the action plan implementation of the first conference of the African petroleum ministers.
