Overview
GasAfrica - Nigeria 2009 is The Pan-African Conference and Exhibition for the gas industry, supported and hosted by the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources of Nigeria, the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA).
African Energy Ministries will be attending the event.
Nigeria, Sub-Saharan Africa's biggest gas producer, will present the impacts of the Oil & Gas Implementation Committee (OGIC) on the gas sector at GasAfrica-Nigeria 2009.
Sub-Saharan Africa is emulating North-Africa an already notable Gas supplier to Europe.
According to the International Energy Agency, gas production from Africa will grow 5.2 per cent a year to 277bn cu metres by 2015, the fastest growing gas region after the Middle East.
African gas producing countries will meet at GasAfrica - Nigeria 2009 to discuss the development of the industry to satisfy both export and domestic demands.
