Dr. Hussein ELHAG, Executive Director of AFREC Visit to the Oil and Gas African Liaison Office
On Wednesday, October 28th, 2009, Dr. Hussein El Hag, the Executive Director of the African Energy Committee AFREC, visited the Oil and Gas African Liaison Office in Cairo. The main objective of the visit was to investigate the potential areas of cooperation between the office and the Energy Committee that could help strengthen the ties and linkages between different oil and gas companies and concerned entities in all African countries.
Several issues have been discussed during the meeting including the following:
- The role of both the Oil and Gas African Liaison Office and the African Energy Committee AFREC.
- Cooperation in areas of training, capacity building of different oil and natural gas activities in addition to technology & knowledge transfer and experience exchange.
By the end of the meeting, both sides agreed on the importance of continuing cooperation in the previous mentioned areas of interst and prepare a MoU to be signed by both.
